Being Away from Home for a Long Time

The mere thought of coming home after several months of being away from home makes me feel very anxious. I know others feel the same. The reasons maybe complex but these are shared by everyone who went beyond their comfort zone in search of greener pastures. Here are the three most obvious reasons why I am afraid. I do not know how I will react with bad news I do not know This is everyone's fear. Being away for a significant length of time, family and friends would sometimes opt not to tell you some bad news, especially when it can make one confused and distracted. Instead of being able to deal with the problem, I fear if this will happen to me that I am left with no option but to cope as fast as I could, especially when I can not do something about it. Let go of these three

Humans have tendencies to be possessive and assert their ownership on things and people they have. Perhaps, this is the reason why in all languages possessive pronouns exist: mine, yours, hers, his or theirs. There are things we keep and want to keep for ourselves. This may not be a problem unless the circumstances dictate that it is the perfect time to let go, and cease to hold unto these things. 2025: Progress Sans Perfect Results

When I look back on the year, I understand that it was not about perfect numbers or completing every goal. It was a year of adjustment, balance, and quiet growth. Some changes were planned, others were forced by life and work. A few goals were achieved, many were not, but almost all of them taught me something important. This reflection is not about success or failure, but about learning; learning my limits, my priorities, and how personal growth often happens slowly. Reading Less, Learning More Reading was one area where this became clear. I wanted to read 21 books in 2025, but I finished only 12. At first, this felt disappointing. Over time, I realized that the quality of what I read mattered more than the number. Books like Sapiens, Think Again, Factfulness, and Stolen Focus were not easy or fast reads. Have you ever experienced being taken for granted? It seems that although you have done everything you could, the other continues to ignore either your actions or your presence at all. No one wants such very difficult situation to experience. In the time of social media when communication becomes easy and meeting variety of people is as quick as a click of a button, it becomes very convenient also to dismiss one person in another's life temporarily or permanently. Emotions affect the way one think, which in turn affects all the things that happen to someone. I have always believed on this. Since I was very young, I developed gradually the process of becoming "emotionless". Is this possible? How could this affect one and decisions in life? Subjectivity is a term that relates to emotions. When we become so happy, we feel too elated that we want the feeling to linger more. Some even think that being happy may cause one to worry for something sad that may happen afterwards. I was once part of these few people, who believed on the temporary nature of happiness. Many would disagree would this because upon meeting another for the first time, everything we know seems to be superficial, and the more we spend time with certain people, we get to know them better, making first impression either incorrect or simply inaccurate. I wonder why saying goodbye is considered good. Most of the time, goodbyes never feel like something is good, unless you have a definite time of making hellos again after goodbyes. It is just putting a period in an article, not knowing whether there is another page that follows it. Pain, regrets and feelings of optimism usually follow after goodbyes. The word GOODBYE ends with BYE. In this article I will put meaning to goodbye using the the last three letters of the word. I hope this could somehow explain the things we feel and put light on how to deal with it, when confronted with a difficult one.
