When I look back on the year, I understand that it was not about perfect numbers or completing every goal. It was a year of adjustment, balance, and quiet growth. I wonder why saying goodbye is considered good. Most of the time, goodbyes never feel like something is good, unless you have a definite time of making hellos again after goodbyes. It is just putting a period in an article, not knowing whether there is another page that follows it. Pain, regrets and feelings of optimism usually follow after goodbyes. The word GOODBYE ends with BYE. In this article I will put meaning to goodbye using the the last three letters of the word. I hope this could somehow explain the things we feel and put light on how to deal with it, when confronted with a difficult one. This chapter was not only about time moving forward, but also about personal reflection, adjustment, and maturity. Being Away from Home for a Long Time

The mere thought of coming home after several months of being away from home makes me feel very anxious. I know others feel the same. The reasons maybe complex but these are shared by everyone who went beyond their comfort zone in search of greener pastures. Here are the three most obvious reasons why I am afraid. I do not know how I will react with bad news I do not know This is everyone's fear. Being away for a significant length of time, family and friends would sometimes opt not to tell you some bad news, especially when it can make one confused and distracted. What seems to be correct in a Filipino perspective? Ethically speaking, where lies the boundary between what is right and wrong? As a Filipino myself, it is quite difficult for me to see that, because everything seems to be very subjective. Every Filipino could justify his or her action regardless of what it is. Nothing seems to be intolerable, and everything could explained as long as someone dares to do so. This makes the Filipino society chaotic and disorganized in a way. There has been a polarizing issue about the newly-elected Philippine president stand on socialism and democracy. It has received criticisms, such that it is perceived as outrightly incorrect and inappropriate in a democratic society, a major influence of Western superpowers like the United States of America. Many then speculates that such move will isolate the Filipino nation following the cooling relationship between the former American colonizer and the Asian country. All of these are merely assumptions, but there are many reasons to believe the Philippines is suited for a socialist democracy. First of all, I would qualify that by elaborating my stand on this means that the socialist economic policy would be focused on the national level on how resources are being distributed, and how government budget is generated through policies that seeks to control the populace in its actions and behaviours.
