Gut Feeling Tells Me Something

Recently, I have been reflecting deeply on past interactions, and it has become clear to me that my gut instinct was accurate. Throughout my life, I have often relied on my intuition, but my rational mind offered another choice. However, time and again, my gut feeling has proved my perception wrong and guided me towards making wise choices.

Whenever I suddenly make drastic changes, it is because my gut feeling kicked in. I start to see things that others may neglect, or I may have repeatedly ignored previously. At times, I tend to tolerate certain situations, but I instantenously realize that I need to follow what my instinct tells me. Luckily, I am patient enough to confirm that hunch, and when I do, I close my eyes and walk away, knowing that I do not need to waste my future on a senseless situation.

Intuition, commonly known as gut feeling, is the innate sense or sensation that steers us to make decisions without any factual basis or logical explanation. While some individuals firmly believe in their intuition and depend on it entirely, others disregard it as a mere myth. Therefore, what are the advantages and disadvantages of relying on our gut feeling?

On the positive side, gut feeling can be a valuable tool in decision-making, especially when we don't have all the facts or when we need to make a quick decision. It can help us identify potential risks, avoid dangerous situations, or make choices that align with our values and beliefs. Trusting our gut feeling can also give us a sense of confidence and empowerment, as we feel more in tune with our instincts and emotions.

However, relying solely on gut feeling can also have its downsides. Our intuition can be influenced by our biases, fears, or past experiences, which may not always be accurate or relevant to the current situation. It can also be challenging to distinguish between our gut feeling and other emotions such as anxiety, excitement, or fear. Additionally, gut feeling can sometimes lead us astray, causing us to miss out on opportunities or make decisions that turn out to be regretful in hindsight.

At times, a situation that I initially perceived as negative has been validated positive by my intuition. At first, I had doubts about my intuition and did not take it seriously when it warned me of potential harm. Rather than reacting impulsively, I chose to stay quiet and observe the situation more closely. During this time, I kept a record of my observations to verify my intuition's accuracy. Eventually, my intuition proved to be correct, and it was like a sudden realization that hit me.

Furthermore, I adhere to a life principle that throwing a stone is irreversible, and one should never take it for granted. As a result, I always endeavor to maintain harmony and make choices that are consistent with my beliefs. This is the reason why I took time. In my opinion, as an example, a future with someone who is flawed but continually works towards self-reliance and improvement is more desirable than remaining in a toxic relationship that does not serve my well-being. Here, intuition and choice play important roles.

In life, we encounter various situations, and it's essential to approach them with caution and a keen eye for detail. When we are given stones, we could play with them like with no/little value, but we must be careful because there may be a particular one that we should never touch. As I reflect on my experience, I am filled with a sense of satisfaction and contentment because I followed my instinct and made the right decision. My gut feeling had already perceived what I need to discover. In the end, I can look back on this experience and smile because I made the right choice. Now, I am free.

With the use of my gut feeling, I hope you understand where I am coming from and respect my decision. I cherish the learnings and time we had, but I also need to prioritize my well-being and happiness. I express my appreciation to you for the opportunity to learn, but I am more grateful to my intuition. As mentioned, I am at last free. Game over.
